Administers and provides technical support to the local warehouse management system (WMS) ensuring high performance levels and data integrity.  Coordinates system changes and system upgrades and trains appropriate staff as necessary.  May perform inventory control, data processing, warehouse or order fulfillment duties dependent upon assigned location.  

 

Duties: (not inclusive) 

  • Acts as the subject matter expert for process and technology components of the WMS, Labor Management System (LMS) and overall performance
  • Adinisters and maintains the local warehouse management system (WMS) ensuring high performance levels and data integrity.  Executes work orders/ service request in accordance with established service level objectives and/or project plans.  Utilizes monitoring tools to track performance issues and assist with troubleshooting and resolution.  Escalates complex issues to next level support as needed. 
  • Improves productivity and service by optimizing the utilization of the people, automation and the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Maintains DC labor standards developed by Industrial Engineering department.  May observe production roles to justify modifications and/or adjustments in current labor standards.  Accountable for generating DC labor reports to management. 
  • Dependent upon location, may perform Inventory Control, Warehouse, Data Processing or Order fulfillment related duties. 
  • Partners with Information Technology when retailer tags do not match host files.  Troubleshoots and resolves issues in an efficient and timely manner. 
  • Tracks, maintains and troubleshoots radio frequency (RF) equipment and other miscellaneous equipment such as desktop and laptop computers. 
  • Participates and/ or leads compliance audits ensuring that established SOX processes exist and are adhered to.
  • May perform staff management and administrative duties of: recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and disciplinary actions.  Assists Director with establishing department goals and budgets as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and/ or experience. 
  • 2- 5 years Supply Chain and/or Distribution Center System experience or other related experience.  Experience working with cross-functional information technology teams a helpful. 
  • Proficiency in Infor’s Exceed 2000 Warehouse Management System (WMS) or any other major Warehouse Management System
  • Basic knowledge of IS principles in solving business problems.  Good oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills problem solving ability (to include analytical, prioritization, and escalation skills) and a high sense of urgency to complete tasks.  Proficient in MS Office (Access, Excel, Word).  May require occasional travel to assist with special projects and/or meetings.  Ability to navigate through ERP systems and interpret WMS system logs for performance and troubleshooting.  Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and support interfaces to and from any host system.
