Position Title: Manager Treasury

Position Summary:

Manages and supports all Company treasury activities, including risk management, cash management, capital markets, and capital structure decisions.  Responsible for managing all financial services provided in the retail stores and providing analytical support for key Corporate Treasury decisions.  

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.  Master’s degree preferred.  CTP preferred but not required.  CPA helpful but not required.  8+ years Treasury experience with at least 2+ years in a supervisory/ managerial role.  

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee all cash management activities including cash flow forecasting, cash concentration / disbursement and liquidity management.  Drive continuous improvement to cash management systems and practices to maximize utilization of cash assets, improve processing efficiency and minimize idle cash balances. 
  • Perform debt management activities including managing covenant compliance activities, forecasting interest expense and monitoring of letters of credit.  
  • Coordinate process improvement and systems integration efforts, including evaluating, publishing and maintaining Treasury policies and procedures, integrating web-based tools and automation into Treasury processes and implementing best practices.  
  • Support internal clients by providing appropriate banking solutions and satisfying monthly and annual reporting requirements for the Controller’s function.  
  • Assist with capital markets activities including determining capital structure, performing due diligence, securing credit lines and reviewing financial contracts.  
  • Develop and foster strong business relationships with cross-functional departments and financial service providers and stay current on relevant Treasury best practices.  
  • Employ sufficient internal controls for the company’s Treasury-related processes.  Maintains proper spreadsheet controls and ensures accuracy of files used to reconcile deposits, disbursements, and interest expense, and to calculate interest accruals.  
  • Keep abreast of emerging economic and capital market news and communicate how it may influence company performance.  
  • Perform staff management and administrative duties of: recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and disciplinary actions.  Manage staffing and budgetary requirements and set department performance standards. 
  • From time to time, the incumbent’s supervisor / manager may assign additional unlisted duties / responsibilities on a temporary or regular basis depending on business needs.  

Knowledge / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

Requires independent thinking, decision making, project management, strong customer orientation, problem solving, presentation, time management, oral and written communication, and financial modeling skills.  The ideal candidate is a detail oriented, self-starter with a high level of analytical curiosity.  The ability to work with multiple projects and deadlines in a rapidly changing environment with people at all levels of the organization is a key to success in this role.  Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) and strong working knowledge of treasury systems and best practices required.
